RadarPro

Speed cameras, EDS and average-speed checks in Türkiye

Before a drive, it helps to understand what a camera alert tells you and where its data ends. RadarPro is an independent driving-awareness app with spoken alerts for radar and EDS points in its database.

Within the same RadarPro app, Free includes the map, radar points, foreground alerts and manual data updates. Pro adds background alerts, automatic data updates and driving detection with the required permissions.

How do intercity speed camera alerts work?

RadarPro compares your location with radar and check points in its database, then speaks distance and, when available, speed-limit alerts as you approach. The map, foreground alerts and manual data updates remain available in Free. Alert distance and coverage depend on the point type, available data and location accuracy.

Is RadarPro an official Turkish Ministry radar map?

No. The Ministry’s intercity radar and check-point service shows enforcement counts along a selected route. RadarPro is not an official application of Türkiye’s Ministry of Interior or General Directorate of Security and claims no affiliation with them. The Ministry service is not RadarPro’s database or a live data connection; RadarPro data should not be treated as an official enforcement schedule.

What is the difference between EDS and an average-speed section?

EDS is a general term for electronic traffic enforcement systems in Türkiye. An average-speed section measures speed over the distance and time between entry and exit. RadarPro provides entry, section-average and exit awareness for supported sections. Road signs and traffic rules determine the applicable limit.

Can alerts work while another navigation app is open?

Pro includes spoken background alerts with the required location and audio permissions. Free alerts work while RadarPro is in the foreground. Eligible new users can also experience background alerts in a one-time introduction. The operating system, power saving, audio output and permissions can affect alerts.

How are new cameras and data updates handled?

RadarPro uses its existing database; a newly installed, moved or removed camera may not yet be reflected. Free users can update manually. Pro includes automatic updates when connectivity and a published update are available. The map is not a complete or always-current list of every camera worldwide.

Is the initial experience the same as a Pro subscription trial?

No. In an eligible new Free user’s one-time device introduction, three distinct background radar/EDS announcements that actually finish speaking are the evaluation threshold; this does not start a subscription. A separate 14-day store trial may be available with an eligible annual Pro offer. Read the purchase screen for eligibility, renewal and pricing.

Does using RadarPro mean I will avoid a fine?

No. RadarPro is a driving-awareness aid. Obey speed limits and local rules, and do not focus on the screen or a purchase flow while driving. Data, location and device conditions mean that an alert for every camera in every situation cannot be guaranteed.
